I have now roughly painted all 6 elephants and I am looking forward to putting in the background, which will be the next stage of the painting ..........

The main elephant which will be the focus of the painting is now roughly painted in, 5 to go!

                                                                           Above

I have painted the canvas with this vivid orange background to give an underlying warmth and to stop any of the white canvas showing through the finished painting.

I have also at this stage drawn in a rough outline of the 6 elephants and am now painting on a thin layer of colour to map out the shadows and highlights.
